Excipients: Sugar, sodium benzoate, kolliphor RH40.

DOSAGE FORM:

Medicinal syrup: a reddish-brown liquid, characteristic herbal aroma, sweet and quite pungent taste.

THERAPEUTIC ACTIONS:

HOASTEX has such ingredients as:

– Folium plectranthi amboinici: pungent and slightly sour taste, aromatic smell and warm character; beneficial for the lung, remove phlegm,  relieve cold, fever, increase sweating, and counteract toxicity. The main constituents, essential oil and flavones, strongly inhibit various bacteria, especially some bacteria causing cough such as Streptococcus pneumonia and Staphylococcus aureus. It is employed to treat flu, fever, cough, sore throat, bronchitis, asthma, whooping cough, hoarseness.

– Cortex Oroxyli: bitter taste and cool character, remove toxic heat, counteract toxicity, counteract infections, beneficial for the lung, antitussive and analgesic. The main constituents flavonoids have antibacterial, analgesic and anti-allergic. It is usually employed to treat sore throat, asthma, hoarsening cough.

– Cineole: antiseptic, antitussive, treating flu and respiratory inflammation.

INDICATIONS:

Treat cough. Reduce cough in people with sore throat, bronchitis, tracheitis.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

Infant baby to children below 2 years of age: take orally each time 2 – 5 ml, 3 times per day.

Children from 2 to below 6 years of age: take orally each time 5 – 10 ml, 3 times per day.

Children 6 years of age and above: take orally each time 15 ml, 3 times per day.

Or follow doctor’s instructions.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

People with diabetics.

Children with a history of epilepsy or febrile convulsion.

People with hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the medicine.
