O.P.CAN® - a product of OPC Pharmaceutical Joint-Stock Company prepared from the extract of Ginkgo biloba leaf.

Ginkgo biloba, often referred to by its common name Maidenhair tree (Ginkgo biloba L. Ginkgoaceae), is considered the oldest tree species to survive on earth with a history dating back over millions of years. Now it is extensively cultivated in various area of the world. Although Ginkgo biloba leaves have long been used in the treatment of various diseases especially senility, Ginkgo biloba extracts (GBE) have now become available with more and more valuable therapeutic effects discovered by recent research.

GBE promotes cerebral circulation, improves blood and oxygen supply to the brain, enhances capillary resistance; so it protects against haemorrhage and edema.

GBE also inhibits platelet-activating factor, reduces platelet aggregation, protects against thrombosis and cerebrovascular accident. GBE exhibits antioxidant and free-radical protective effects and minimizes cell damage associated with brain and cardiac ischemias.

GBE also improves peripheral circulation, particularly in inferior limbs, improves blood supply to inner ears and the vestibule; so it may be beneficial in treating tinnitus and acute hearing loss.

O.P.CAN® is produced in form of film coated tablets, soft-gels meeting various patient needs in preventing and treating diseases.
