THERAPEUTIC ACTIONS:

Lingzhi Tonic OPC is prepared from a remedy containing 5 herbs, Lingzhi, Ginseng, Cortex Schefflerae heptaphyllae, Rhizoma Imperatae cylindricae and Styli et Stigmata Maydis. In the formula, the main factor, Lingzhi, is combined with Ginseng and Cortex Schefflerae heptaphyllae – the two herbs responsible for invigorating vital energy, exciting the body and spirit. The three herbs above help increase the tonifying effect of the medicine on the body. Besides, the combining with Cortex Schefflerae heptaphyllae and Styli et Stigmata Maydis is on purpose to moderate the characters and savours of the product, creating such properties as soothing, cooling, sedative, and diuresis, helping excreting waste products from the body.

INDICATION:

Tonify the body. Treat nervous asthenia.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: Take orally each time 30ml, twice a day, before meals.

CONTRAINDICATION:

People with hyperactivity of fire due to yin deficiency with such symptoms as mild fever, evening hot flashes, warm soles and palms, dry mouth, night sweats, reddish tongue, etc.

People with severe liver failure, kidney failure or peptic ulcers, pregnant and
breast feeding women, children under 16 years of age.

People with hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the medicine.

PRECAUTIONS:

Be cautious when using the medicine for people driving vehicles or operating machinery.

PREGNANT WOMEN AND LACTATING WOMEN:

SIDE EFFECTS:

Some transient undesirable effects may happen because the medicine contain 30% of ethanol such as impaired vision, impaired coordination
of movement, rapid heartbeat, emotional disorder, transient dementia, nausea, vomiting, etc.

Inform the doctor immediately if any side effects occurs while using the medicine.

OVERDOSE AND TREATMENT OF OVERDOSE:

Not found.

Some symptoms of overdose may happen due to ethanol intoxication such as cold clammy skin, hypothermia, hypotension, stupor, coma, dilated pupil, depressed or absent tendon reflexes, hypoglycaemia, convulsions, respiratory depression,
metabolic acidosis, cardiac arrhythmias due to atrial fibrillation or atrio-ventricular block.

Treatment methods for acute ethanol intoxication include hydration with
intravenous fluids, control of nausea and vomiting and correction of electrolyte imbalances. Protection of the airway is crucial and ventilation may be required in case of respiratory depression. Glucose is indicated for patients with hypoglycaemia and thiamin supplementation should be considered. Hypothermia and hypotension should be corrected. Convulsions may be controlled with intravenous benzodiazepines or phenytoin. Hemodialysis is of value in severe poisoning.
