FORMULA:
For 1 tube
– Active pharmaceutical ingredients:
Rhubarb alcoholic extract 3.8 ml
Equivalent to Rhubarb (Rhizoma Rhei) 500.0 mg
Salicylic Acid 100.0 mg
– Excipient:
Sodium carboxymethylcellulose, sodium saccharin, glycerine, peppermint essential oil, purified water.
DOSAGE FORM:
Gels.
Product description: Transparent brown gel, sweet, astringent, slightly acrid taste.
INDICATIONS:
Topical treatment of inflammatory lesion restricted to mucous membranes in the mouth and aphthae. For the symptomatic relief of pain associated with recurrent mouth ulcer and denture irritation.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Apply the medicine to the wound 2 – 3 times per day. Put a small amount of gel the lesion and massage gently.
Do not rinse teeth or mouth immediately after application.
Or follow your doctor’s instructions.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Children under 6 years of age.
Children with a history of epileptic or convulsion because of high fever.
People with a history of stomach ulcers.
Reactions with salicylate derivatives may occur.
Do not apply to the eyes and open wounds.
People with hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the medicine.
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS:
In case of signs of systemic infection, treatment with antibiotics is required.
Use with caution in pregnant women and lactating women.
Do not use high concentrations of the drug on a large area for a long time to avoid excessive absorption causing systemic side effects.
PREGNANT WOMEN AND LACTATING WOMEN:
Ask your doctor before use. There have been no reports of topical treatments containing Rhubarb such as Picado in pregnant women, but extreme caution should be exercised when prescribing. Anthranoid glycosides from Rhubarb can be excreted in breast milk, but there are no specific studies on the therapeutic dose of Picado, so only use it when the drug has more benefits for the mother than breastfeeding.

UNDESIRABLE EFFECTS:

OVERDOSE AND TREATMENT OF OVERDOSE:
Symptoms: In case of swallowing too much medicine, there may be symptoms of acute diarrhea due to the laxative effect of Rhubarb and symptoms of salicylic acid poisoning: symptoms often vary depending on each person such as deep, rapid breathing, tinnitus, deafness, vasodilation, sweating.
Treatment: You should drink plenty of water, rehydrate and electrolyte compensation in case of acute diarrhea. In case of salicylic acid poisoning, gastric lavage and monitoring of plasma pH, plasma salicylate concentration and electrolytes should be monitored..
