Active ingredient:
Povidone iodine 2 g
Excipients: Purified water.
DOSAGE FORM:
Solution for external use.
Product Description: Dark brown liquid.
INDICATIONS:
Disinfection and disinfection of contaminated wounds and skin and mucous membranes before surgery. Clean medical instruments before sterilization.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
Apply pure solution to the skin area for disinfection. Apply to the lesion area (Herpes simplex, Shingles, wounds,…) to avoid bacterial infection. Apply 2 times a day, gauze can be applied to the wound if necessary. Or as directed by your doctor.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
History of hypersensitivity to Iod. Do not use regularly in people with thyroid disorders. Perforation of the eardrum or application directly to the meninges. The cavity is badly damaged. Pregnant and lactating women. Children under 2 years old. The person is hypersensitive to any component of the drug.
WARNINGS AND CAUTIONS:
Caution should be exercised when used regularly on wounds for people with a history of renal failure, patients undergoing treatment with lithium.
USE OF THE DRUG IN PREGNANT AND LACTATING WOMEN:
Avoid regular use, as iodine crosses the placental barrier and is excreted in milk. Although there is no evidence of harm, caution should be exercised and the possible effects of iodine absorption on fetal thyroid development and function should be exercised.
EFFECTS OF THE DRUG ON THE ABILITY TO DRIVE AND OPERATE MACHINERY:
There is no evidence of the effect of the drug on the ability to drive or operate machinery.
INTERACTIONS, COMPATIBILITIES:
a) Drug interactions: Antibacterial effects are reduced in the presence of alkalis and proteins. Soap does not lose its effect. Interaction with mercury compounds: caustic. The drug loses its effect on sodium thiosulfate, sunlight, high temperature and other antiseptics. May interfere with exploratory testing of thyroid function.
b) Drug incompatibility: Compatibility with reducing agents.
UNDESIRABLE EFFECTS:
The composition may cause local irritation. Using extensive wounds and severe burns can cause systemic reactions. Immediately inform your doctor or pharmacist of any adverse reactions experienced when using the drug.
OVERDOSE AND TREATMENT:
Excess iodine will cause thyroid goiter, hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism. Repeated application of the composition on extensive or burned skin can cause metallic taste, increased salivation, burning pain in the throat and irritated mouth, eyes,… In case of mistaken ingestion of large amounts of Povidon – iodine requires symptomatic and supportive treatment, electrolyte balance, kidney and thyroid function.

STORAGE:
Dry place, temperature not exceeding 300 C, protected from light. Close the lid immediately after use. Use only within 2 months after opening the lid.
