On February 22, 2024, the delegation of the Ministry of Health led by Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen – Deputy Minister of Health visited and inspected work after Tet at OPC PHARMA.

Welcoming the delegation, Ms. Pham Thi Xuan Huong, General Director of OPC PHARMA, reported our current operations and future vision for herbal cultivation areas, extraction technology, and national brand products. She also presented recommendations to the Ministry of Health on supporting pharmaceutical enterprises, including::

  • Developing domestic herbal cultivation areas
  • Registering new products
  • Output for pharmaceutical products from medicinal plants
  • Clinical trial work

At the OPC Pharmaceutical factory, Deputy Minister Do Xuan Tuyen toured the facilities and acknowledged the challenges faced by the health and pharmaceutical sectors. Despite these challenges, the Vietnamese health sector has achieved notable results. The Deputy Minister praised OPC Pharmaceutical’s efforts in meeting 2023 targets, ensuring employee welfare, and contributing to the Ministry of Health’s activities while demonstrating social and environmental responsibility.

Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen proposes OPC PHARMA:

  1. There is a document providing suggestions to the Ministry of Health regarding the improvement of the pharmaceutical sector’s regulations and policies. It is expected that in 2024, the National Assembly will pass the amended Drug Law, which will come into effect on January 1, 2025. Accordingly, the Ministry of Health highly values the input from the business community in constructing decrees and circulars to guide the implementation of the amended Drug Law (if approved by the National Assembly).
  2. There is a document providing suggestions to the Ministry of Health regarding the improvement of the pharmaceutical sector’s regulations and policies.
